there is some fiction in your truth

SYSTEMWIDE is a panfandom science fiction and action/adventure game, based on the premise of The Matrix movies. Set within the same universe, but in a far flung future, the game takes place in the underground cities mankind has claimed for itself in the ongoing fall out of a war between human and machine. Game play also features the Matrix, a virtual reality that hosts a myriad of worlds, all taken from the canons of apped characters.

Characters have been or will be pulled from the lives they once knew to be real to participate in the survival of humankind, defending against the ever present threat of the machines. There will be war-like elements, smaller skirmishes, training and missions, and of course, the day to day living in the wrecked dystopia that they now have no choice but to call home.

Applications at Systemwide are open now and accepted on a rolling basis.

A SONG OF ICE & FIRE / GAME OF THRONES
WANT: Starks, Lannisters, Targaryens, Baratheons, Boltons, Greyjoys, everyone.
NOTES: They may come from a fantasy world, but these characters seem more equipped than most to deal with life in the real real world. Not just that, but there's currently mod plot that ties into the Game of Thrones Matrix, so there is plenty of opportunity for even the most heinous of villains to end up extracted into a new beginning.

BIG HERO 6
WANT: Hiro Hamada
NOTES: This game needs more mechanical geniuses. Come introduce him to Tony Stark!

DRAGON AGE
HAVE: Anders, Garrett Hawke, Varric Tethras
WANT: Isabela, Fenris, Aveline, Merrill, Sebastian, Nathaniel Howe, Oghren, Leliana, Cassandra too many names Pentaghast, Dorian Pavus, Iron Bull, Vivienne, Sera, Josephine, Tallis, Harding, Dagna, Briala, Anora, basically everyone.
NOTES: The "multiple divergent Matrixes" aspect means there is an in-game explanation for each characters' universe having vast or incidental differences based on player choice. (Anyone applying is welcome to crib from or link to this write-up of the Thedas Matrix.)

FIREFLY
WANT: River Tam, Simon Tam, Kaylee Fry, Mal Reynolds, etc.
NOTES: Given the Zion Defense Grid has a small set of ships with crews there's plenty of use for the skills of Serenity's crew.

MAD MAX: FURY ROAD
HAVE: Max Rockatansky
WANT: Furiosa, Nux, every wife.
NOTES: There's definitely scrap to build cars, so the real world might actually be less of a hardship for these guys. But imagine knowing the machine dream you were put through had Fury Road's violence and absurd guitar flamethrowers.

MARVEL CINEMATIC / AGENTS OF SHIELD
HAVE: Bucky Barnes, Matt Murdock, Rocket, Steve Rogers, Thor Odinson, Tony Stark, Skye
WANT: Bruce Banner, Sam Wilson, Phil Coulson, Grant Ward, Agent 33/Kara, Leo Fitz, Bobbi Morse, Melinda May, Dottie Underwood, Sharon Carter, Maria Hill, Pepper Potts, James Rhodes, Gamora, Nebula!! ALSO DAREDEVIL FOLKS, Wilson Fisk, Claire Temple, Karen Page, Foggy Nelson, Stick.
NOTES: BRING US EVERYONE!! The team mission set-up and war themes are perfect for letting heroes, spies, and occasionally heroic criminals do what they do best, and the open city setting could be an interesting post-apoc substitute for Hell's Kitchen, js.

MASS EFFECT
WANT: Commander Shepard, aliens, robots, everyone!
NOTES: Imagine Commander Shepard & Co. defeating the Reapers, then waking up to a new machine war. Think about it. Think about it some more. Start working on an app. Come onnn.

MERLIN
WANT: Merlin, Arthur, Gwen, Morgana, the knights, and so on.
NOTES: It seems obvious that people would extract Arthurian legend, but how would they cope in a land of machines and a time of no magic?

NEON GENESIS EVANGELION
WANT: Shinji Ikari, Asuka Soryu, Rei Ayaname, Kaworu Nagisa, etc.
NOTES: In Zion, fate is worshipped and machines are despised and everyone wakes up human, which seems like it would be interesting for the young pilots of the Evangelions.

SENSE8
WANT: Capheus, Kala Dandekar, Lito Rodriguez, Nomi Marks, Riley Blue, Sun Bak, Will Gorski, Wolfgang Bogdanow
NOTES: The Matrix/Real division would allow sensates to keep their connection and badass abilities inside the Matrix but be alone in their own heads in the Real!

WANT: Systemwide would love to have your original characters! We are currently accepting original characters unplugged from their original worlds, original characters unplugged from established fandom worlds, and native original characters who were born in the Real.
