Dean has only recently been unplugged, but his lifetime spent as a hunter back in his matrix means he's liable to be drawn to a few of the more dangerous professions. He's liable to either wind up as a soldier or a smuggler, fighting for the army or on board an independent ship. On top of dealing with with the whole reality was a sham thing and the whole who am I thing, he's going to be pretty crabby about reality's lack of baked goods and kickass music. Expect to hear him bitching about that. Like, a lot.

Very recently unplugged, Sam Winchester was pulled directly from Lucifer's prison in the depths of Hell, where he suffered from very traumatic torture sessions at the hands of both Satan himself and his brother, the Archangel Michael. He will be slow to believe that it was all a lie, though grateful for having been saved from his terrorizers. Some people may think this place is hell compared to their lives in the Matrix, but Sam will be the first to say otherwise.

Prior to their extraction, Zee Captain was the leader of a tiny band of survivors in a post-apocalyptic nuclear wasteland of radioactive abominations, artificial intelligence glitches, and other occasional mind-blowing flora, fauna, and etc. Due to heavy experimentation and augmentation they became temporally dislocated and became the luckiest human in existence. Because of this, they were able to get through life chasing their whimsies and ignoring all danger. This lent Captain a dangerously optimistic outlook on life: so long as anyone followed Captain's orders exactly (no matter how strange or impossible) everything seemed to turn out fine in the end.

Now that Captain has been removed from their Matrix (partially by choice and partially by subtle redirection on the behest of a powerful program) they have lost much of what they once were. They still possess a devil-may-care attitude, but being hurt or thwarted is as startling to them as to a toddler stubbing her toe or falling down. Captain is a high-spirited creature who loves to pull together real acts out of flights of their imagination. They take immediately to anyone who shows them any scraps of interest, and take strident issue with anyone they do not deem a friend. Captain may eventually become a powerful asset in the fight to save unplugged humans, given their savant-level ability to bend a simulation to their expectations, but first they need to understand how to live in the here and now instead of processing past, present and potential futures simultaneously. They may also need to rediscover the true power of friendship.

Emma has been unplugged for a handful of months in is only just starting to find her standing again. She has a strong desire to make her way onto an extraction crew and most of her behavior and interactions reflect that. She had a hard time adjusting to reality but since has accepted it, though not without a certain amount of bitterness toward her own experiences in the Matrix.

She has many strong emotions toward the connections she ended up leaving behind, especially her son, Henry. She can be a little cold and standoffish but there is a good heart in there. Somewhere. A totally non-magical, normal heart she totally called that magic shit.

Former clerk turned extreme tourguide, Charles lost his job, his family and everything he ever knew when nuclear warfare wiped most of humanity from the face of his polluted future Earth. After spending a decade living on expiring, radioactive cans of food, hounded by madmen and madder AI, he considers the Real to be a marked improvement, overcrowding, blighted surface and all.

In the Real, Charles is a hard-working repairman in the Hovercraft docks. Within the Matrix, Charles is the Unscannable: all signals in his direct proximity are dampened or neutralised. He is a one-man walking shield against long- and short-range detection methods, and the more irritated he's kept, the larger his sphere of influence grows.

Any Crews wanting to make use of his abilities will have a tough sell on their hands: after seeing 99% of humanity murdered by an AI who'd hijacked their brains to be her processors, he'd understandably leery about plugging his own brain into any more computer programs.
